Kåseberga Lantbruk

Leif Nilsson the pumpkins king operates a farm in Österlen where he cultivates various types of pumpkins, including culinary pumpkins and Halloween pumpkins. He has also recently started growing celery.

Leif was born into agriculture and chose to become a grower himself. He identifies weather as a major challenge in farming, as it cannot be controlled.

Pumpkin cultivation involves a short and intensive growing season. Interest in culinary pumpkins has increased, which has been noted by both Leif and the organization Grönsaksmästarna.

Kåseberga Lantbruk, where Leif is active, is a member of the economic association Sv Grönsaksmästare.

The cucumber farms in Påarp and Allerum outside Helsingborg, amount to a total of 20,000 m². Both farms have recirculating irrigation, which is beneficial to the environment. For the year 2009, a pellet boiler has been installed in one site to further promote the Environment.
