Dark green, short and chubby cucumbers.
Västerås cucumber has a harder skin and meatier pulp, which makes it suitable for pickling or conservation by means of souring.
Best stored wrapped at 12 to 14 °C and without for example apples and tomatoes that speed up the ripening.
