Leek

You can eat both the green and white part, but the white part is usually preferred as it is milder and more tender. Leek has a mild onion flavour.

Leek can be used raw thinly sliced in salads or as a garnish. It is often used in soups, brown stews, gratins and woks. It also boosts your egg sandwich.

Best stored at 2 to 4 °C.
