
Butternut
Shaped like a bowling pin, it has light beige skin and bright orange pulp with a small seed cavity. The juicy pulp resembles zucchini, but with more flavour and rich nut tones.
Very useful as it works well in soups, pies, roasts, ratatouille, baking, marmalades and as raw food. Season with nutmeg and ginger before wrapping it in foil and throwing it on the grill.
Store in a cool place at 10 to 14 °C.
