Chives in a pot

The grass-like leaves are decoratively dark green. Chives has a mild onion flavour.

Chives can be used as an aromatic herb in sauces and salads or as an ingredient in soups and brown stews. It is a must with herring and new potatoes. 

Best stored fresh at 12 to 15 °C and watered from below when needed.
